A most unlikely song by an equally unlikely performer topped the US chart when Dominican nun, Sister Luc-Gabrielle - The Singing Nun - went to no.1 for the first of four weeks with "Dominique", a song she had written in praise of St. Dominic, founder of the religious order. On the same day her album "The Singing Nun" went to the top of the US album chart for the first of ten weeks - making her the first person to top both charts simultaneously.
