The BBC Children In Need charity recording of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day" topped the UK chart for three weeks. The recording, which was produced by Simon Hanhart featured contributions by 29 music stars including Reed himself, Bono, David Bowie, Suzanne Vega, Elton John, Boyzone, Emmylou Harris, Tammy Wynette, Joan Armatrading and Tom Jones.
