Cousin Adelphia is a sociable person who appreciates the beauties of nature and the refinements of life, and is moved by music and the arts. She is very idealistic and romantic and expresses her beautiful thoughts through poetry. Crudeness and vulgarity are very repulsive to her and she is very particular about little things. The poor dear suffers greatly through a sensitivity in the fluid functions, causing female disorders, swelling of the legs and ankles, or general blood debility.
