How truly unfortunate that we have become so self-absorbed in our wants, our needs, and our desires, that we are no longer aware of, or even care about the consequences that our actions inflict upon each other.
We do this in the guise of a smile and the offer of friendship, all the while plotting to gain whatever is necessary to fill our empty souls. We don't even care anymore if it destroys friendships, families, or whole lives.... as long as we win..... as long as we are happy, even if just for the moment.... until we are bored and move on, yet again, to repeat this cycle without even considering the destruction we may leave in our wake.
This is the true Horror.
I mourn for the days - and yes, I am old enough to remember them - when honesty, loyalty, and integrity truly meant something.... and, oh how I pray, for the future of my grandchildren.....
